Supervised Contact

What is Supervised Contact?

Supervised contact refers to a situation where a parent spends time with their child in the presence of a neutral third party, often a social worker, contact supervisor, or another agreed-upon adult. This arrangement ensures that the interaction is safe, appropriate, and in the best interests of the child.

Supervised contact is a protective and transitional measure, not a punishment — and in many cases, it can be the first step toward restoring a healthier, more independent relationship between parent and child.

At Anew Mediation, we assist families by facilitating supervised visits to ensure that parent–child relationships are restored in a safe, supportive way.
