Uncontested Divorces
What is an Uncontested Divorce?
An uncontested divorce means that both spouses agree on all key issues related to their divorce without the need for court intervention. This includes matters such as division of assets and debts; child custody and visitation; child support and spousal maintenance; and any other relevant financial or personal arrangements.
Because both parties have reached an agreement, uncontested divorces are generally faster, less expensive, and less stressful than contested divorces, which require court proceedings to resolve disputes. Many couples use mediation to facilitate an uncontested divorce by negotiating terms in a fair and structured environment.
